Over the last week Ben’s blood counts have returned to healthy levels. His doctors suggested we might like to spend a bit of time out and about with him this weekend before the next round of chemotherapy starts next week.

So, on Saturday we ventured out to the local park where we used to live, with our dogs (who Ben hasn’t seen for seven weeks), his bike and a picnic! We all had a lovely time, despite the grey skies.

On Sunday we visited Eastleigh Lakeside Railway and had some fun riding behind miniature steam locos!
After seven weeks or so of being in hospital it’s been lovely for all of us to be able to get out and about and enjoy some ‘normal’ stuff, although understandably it’s been quite tiring for Ben.
So pleased Ben was well enough to get out with you all for a couple of trips- I’m sure it has given you all a much needed boost ahead of the next round, Ben looks happy, especially on the train! Sending lots of love and wishes for many more magical moments on this road to recovery and beyond xxxxx
