James’ colleagues at Cisco have been fantastically generous in clubbing together to get Ben a Nintendo Switch, with several games & accessories.
We held off giving it to him until the Sunday when we arrived in Bristol for the start of his stem cell transplant treatment, and it has proved a welcome distraction from all that is going on in pre-transplant conditioning, and we’re sure that it will continue to be so in post-transplant recovery.

So far, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Lego Incredibles and Minecraft are the favourites. Ben, Ginny & I are very appreciative of everyone’s generosity, and Rose is also very thankful for the games that she got for her switch too.
Hoping all goes well on Thursday xxxx
What a kind gift from your friends at Cisco, and at just the right time! I’m sure he’ll have lots of fun with it. Little Ben has managed to get through several chemo sessions and is getting stronger and a healthy body that will cope with the next phase towards recovery and going home. I want to give you all – Ben, Ginny, James, Rosie, Ella and Kirstie a big hug and the courage to see this through to recovery. You know that you’re always in my thoughts. Much love, Hils
Wow! He looks very chuffed with it! His hair looks like it’s growing back! Ben will home in the not too distant future with you all! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
